Recovery - It's Real
I knew New Orleans would find a way to return from the dead after Katrina. And here's the first and very very best sign:
Cafe Du Monde will begin selling beignets on Wednesday at 6a.m.
I have tears of joy in my eyes. I think I'll go get some Cafe Du Monde at the gourmet grocery store and brew a cup on Wednesday, in solidarity with my brothers and sisters who know that strong coffee and sugar bombs are THE way to start the day.
With Cafe Du Monde back in business, you know the rest of New Orleans will be fueled on sugar and caffeine, and thus, invincible.
