Birthday Blossoms
Flowers are just plain awesome. Even tiny ones. I photographed little blue flowers, no bigger than a pencil eraser, in a meadow in Spain because they were so hardy and sweet. The corner flower stand in Barcelona was a great source of pleasure. Maybe this is a big city thing, but people in Barcelona are often seen carrying a briefcase or newspaper AND a huge bundle of flowers in the middle of the day on their way somewhere. I wonder who gets the flowers?
These flowers in the photo were among lovely birthday presents. Combined with the sushi for lunch and German chocolate brownies for dessert, it was a frabjous day.
